We have lighthouses to visit !
L’ANSE-À-VALLEAU at 50km
The lighthouse of Pointe à la Renommée
On the road towards Grande-Vallée, at l’Anse-à-Valleau there is a magnificent place with a unusual history. MARCONI made his first worldwide wireless land-sea communication tehre. There is a museum on site that tells about how the families who looked after the lighthouse lived and about the life of MARCONI and what we accomplished at the lighthouse of the Pointe-à-la-Renommée. A beautiful path allows you to see the sea as far as the eye can see.
Land’s end – Cap-Gaspé at 20 km
In the Park on the road towards Cap-aux-Os, it is so beautiful to walk on les Graves trail, a formerly cultivated area with the sea right next to it. You can see the breath of whales, lobster fishing boats in June and smell the salty and fresh air from the land’s end where the Cap Gaspe lighthouse is located.
CAP-DES-ROSIERS at 23km
The lighthouse of Cap des Rosiers
This is the tallest lighthouse in Canada. He has witnessed several maritime events. The view from Cap-Bob-Ami is spectacular !
